1900s-1945
On Sunday 9 June 1907 the village turned out for a church parade — clergy, choir and congregation in procession. The two photographs reproduced here are among the earliest surviving images of a public ceremony in Leigh: the parade drawn up before it set off, and the procession itself on the march through the village.
